I'm kinda bored again so I guess I'll blog.
Steve and I went camping at the Pinery at the end of June/begining of July. We had a great time, the weather was wonderful besides about 2 hours of rain we got stretched out over two nights. We made the best of that time though. :o) On the first night there he formally proposed to me down by the beach while we enjoyed a sunset. Although we had been making wedding plans, he had never actually asked me to marry him or given me a ring. Yeah, we're a little backwards but who cares. Now it's all official! I've ordered save-the-date cards and we'll be sending those out over the next month or two. I figured it would be a good idea to forewarn people in writing because we are marrying on a holiday weekend. Hey, it's a ton cheaper to have a really nice wedding that way and if you have better stuff to do than go to my wedding, so be it!! lol Sooo, incase you are wondering, the date is Sunday 9/2/07. Laborday weekend. We're still trying to decide where to have the ceremony, but the reception will be at Crystal Gardens in Southgate. I just realized that I should make this a friends only blog to avoid problems with my ex. Ugh.
I think this weekend we'll check out photographers and DJ's. Let me know if you have any recomendations. I might even post a bulletin about that :o)
Well, August is steadily approaching. That means another birthday. It's so weird to think that I am almost 24. Geez, not so long ago it seemed to far away. Mid tewnties?? me?? Man, by the time I get married, I will be 25 and Steve will be pushing 34! It's so weird to think he's 9 years older than me because he seems so much younger. In a good way of course. It's so simple to see that we were made for each other. I look back and wonder how I could have even thought what I had in previous relationships would be forever. It's so obvious to me now.
This summer has been much more enjoyable than most of my "adult summers". The weather is just great and even though it is half over....there is still half to go. So many people think of September as the end of summer, I guess because of school. Because I am not in school, I look forward to enjoying beautiful September weather as well. It doesnt actually start to get chilly until October or at least late September here, right? Damn, I really need to move somewhere with longer summers! I love 75-90 degree weather. It makes me feel so good and enables me to work on my tan. Something I've never really been into before. I got the best tan of my life when we went camping and I want to maintain it. Besides, Steve likes tan lines!
It's really cool how I've had something going on pretty much every weekend all summer. Whether it be a bbq, bonfire, fireworks, the cruise or just hanging out together or with friends, I haven't sat at home bored even once that I can think of. I love that I can look forwward to spending all day on Saturday with Steve and he doesn't work untill 4 or 5 on Sunday. Last year if he had Sat off we really couldn't stay out late because he had to work at 10 on Sun.
Steve and I took Chase to see Pirates of the Caribbean on Saturday. It was the first time I've been to a theater since 2001 when I saw American Pie 2. I hate going because there I always end up pissed off. The seats are uncomfortable, it's too cold, its too loud, someone keeps talking, someone is eating peanut m&m's(that's the grossest smell), my neck hurts from angling it toward the screen, the floor is sticky, someone tall sits in front of you....shall I continue? I would rather just watch a movie at home. Anyway, the movie was ok. It's not really the type of movie I like. Steve wanted to see it though. Chase fell asleep. I'm glad because he was getting really restless. It was a 2 and a half hour flick. I though it would never end. I think Steve really enjoyed the movie though, that's what matters, he was pretty anxious to see it.
Well, that's about all for now I guess. If you're even still reading... thanks for listening to me ramble!
