You prolly aren't surprised to hear that I didn't make it till Sunday with the fasting thing. I did a lot of work around the house Friday night (burned a lot of calories that I didn't consume) and by Friday night Steve had talked me into eating. I guess he got sick of me telling him I felt like I was gonna throw up. Besides, I hate throwing up and I wanted to avoid that. I did not eat any meat all weekend though!
Steve is the best boyfriend EVER! Really, he is. Saturday morn we got up early and hit the road, we went shopping for a new pair of glasses for me. (the rabbit scratched mine when he tried to take them off my face) What an ordeal that was. Apparently, my head and espically my face is smaller than most kids'. We went to four stores and one of them we went to twice. I will make a long story short. It took about 5 hours (lunch included) to find a pair. I had just about given up. Well, I picked out a piar that I liked at Optimize but they were gonna be like $300 because the lenses are so expensive. I bought a pair from America's Best for $200. That is still too expensive. I swear, the frames I paid $100 for only cost them like $20 to make, if that. Ugh.... reminds me of the gas companies.
Back to Steve being the best boyfriend ever... he took me to Cheli's Chili for lunch, that was cool, neither of us had been there before. He loves to suprise me.
It was such a nice day so when we got home we laid out in the back yard. It seems like it's been soooo long since we've been able to do that. George came outside and checked everything out too. He was a happy kitty.
Easter Sunday wasn't nearly as warm or sunny but the day of the Risen Lord nevertheless. Instead of going to St. Phillip, where I usually go, we went to Steve's old church, St. John. That was a mistake. it was the worst service I've ever been to. I don't feel like getting into it, it was just bad. I really wish we had gone to St Phillips.
Dinner went well, my mom and Steve's mom came over. We had sooo much food. We could have easily fed 2 more people. After dinner, we were all so lazy. We divided up leftovers and after our moms left Steve and I fell asleep. Let's just say the dishes finally got done around 945p. All in all, it was a good weekend.
Now I guess I should get back to work.... (it took me an hour and a half to type this!)
